The book Explanation of the Meanings of the Ahadith is one of the greatest and most beneficial collections of Islam. It includes numerous advantages and unique benefits that can be found by those who deeply study it. As Al-Ayni said, anyone who examines it objectively will find it superior to many famous and accepted hadith books. Its superiority is evident in its content and organization, and only ignorant or biased individuals would doubt this. In the introduction of Meanings of the Righteous, it is mentioned that the author has compiled a book explaining the meanings of the Ahadith, surpassing other collections with its valuable benefits and extensive insights. If one seeks Hadith, it is like an ocean with its endless waves. If one seeks jurisprudence, people have entered into it in cohorts and have not ceased to return to it. Those who extracted knowledge from it continue to find new insights, and those who obtained something from it achieved their desires. Those who closely follow it have succeeded in their time, and those who deeply study it eagerly wish for their youth days to return. Only envy, corruption, stubbornness, or those unfamiliar with this art would abandon this book. Al-Dhahabi stated in Siyar A'lam al-Nubala (15/30) about the biography of Abu Ja'far al-Tahawi: Anyone who examines the works of this Imam will know his vast knowledge and comprehensive understanding. This book is distinguished by its abundant benefits that are not found elsewhere. For example, it contains many narrations that are not present in others, and these important additions strengthen the authenticity of the narrations. In other books, a narration might have a weak chain of narration, but in this book, it can have a strong chain. It may also present different routes for a narration that can reveal significant points and benefits to the narrator. The book also includes numerous valuable insights in the texts, surpassing others in length or concise explanations, and covering important aspects of these insights. It also contains many narrated traditions and the opinions of the companions, their followers, and subsequent scholars in jurisprudence, which cannot be found in other books except for the works of Abdul Razzaq, Ibn Abi Shaybah, and Al-Muhalla. Therefore, Al-Ayni said in the Book of Zakat, in the chapter Charity to the Hashemites [4/p13b]: Look at the widespread narration and the great extent of his research, where he mentions the evidence of controversial issues and analyzes them in terms of their chain of narration, text, and logical reasoning. It convinces the impartial researcher who is free from blind adherence to other opinions. This book has no equivalent in the field of jurisprudence, teaching the methods of jurisprudence, and developing the skill of understanding jurisprudence. The author himself mentioned in the introduction the reason for writing this book, stating that some knowledgeable individuals requested him to compile a book that discusses the narrated traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) regarding legal matters that are misunderstood by atheists and weak individuals among the Muslim community. Some of these narrations contradict others due to the lack of their understanding of the abrogating and abrogated rulings and the required actions concerning them based on the clear evidence from the Quran and the agreed-upon Sunnah. Therefore, he organized the book into chapters, each discussing specific topics related to the abrogated and abrogating rulings, interpretations by scholars, their arguments against each other, and the establishment of evidence for those who have correctly uttered their opinions using authentic sources such as books, Sunnahs, consensus, or multiple statements by the companions or their followers. The author conducted intensive research and extracted sections that comprehensively cover the requested topics. In each section, he mentioned various examples related to these topics.
